12,500 feet down to Titanic - and missing

Maybe we can. But then Oceangate must expand their business. Throw in some wars and we’re set.

The limited mean lifespan is overestimated as regulation against overpopulation. If everyone has two descendants, the difference in population size between mortals and immortals is expressed in terms of just one generation.

Learn to have no more children than the number of people going on such trips.

I think it would be cool to go to the bottom of the ocean in a submarine, as long as it was a legitimate operation and not some guy’s submarine he made in his garage.

I don’t understand what all this overpopulation crap is about.

OceanGate was markedly closer to the former than the latter. But not close enough.

Even Josh Gates didn’t think it was safe. This was recorded before the sub was found.

While we are on the subject of people doing stupid things:

Mexican family of 6-year-old boy who fell from amusement park zipline to file lawsuit

Why didn’t the parents just get the kid a f’ing bicycle.

I think it’s interesting how people are so attached to the ‘game controller’ being a sign of trouble when it was probably the most tested/certified thing about the sub ;D

Well, the harness did fail, lawsuit is pretty much guarantied, even if the family did not want to, lawyers will convince them to sue.

? Which hanness are you talking about. I must have missed that.

Kid fell into the water than just dangling there.
