I’d like to get 14500 UV light with ZWB2 filter, somewhat throwy if possible.
I found Convoy T2 UV and Lumintop Tool AA UV. They seem similar.
Could owners of either one of them comment please? Is there much difference between them? Perhaps there are some other 14500 choices that I overlooked?
Both come with ZWB2 filter glass.
The lumintop comes with their nice USB-C rechargeable cell- I think this is my favourite type of “built in charging” as you don’t have rubber port flaps exposed to the elements.
Both seem to work on NiMh, but Lumintop cautions the output will be low (likely same with the convoy).
Convoy comes in nice purple colour so you know it’s UV (maybe that’s just me).
Both are c.365nm, convoy uses Seoul CUN66A1B
Lumintop just say they have a Luminus LED without further specifying. I suspect both are 3535 footprint and reflectors will be similar so unlikely one will throw substantially more than the other.
The tool comes with their LED tailswitch, so you’ll have to lock the light out to prevent battery drain when not in use.
