I have a UV light that uses two (2S/serial) 16340 (protected) batteries.
Is it safe to keep the batteries in the light even though I only use it once or twice a month for a few seconds?
Thanks!

Can you lock it out by unscrewing the tail cap a quarter turn?
I don't know, it's in a SolarForce L2r, which is basically just an anodized L2 without using the extension for AA batteries...
Me personally, I’d take ’em out. I got a UV light in a purple(!) ’501 host, single 18650 cell, yet I still take it out just to be safe. The ’501 doesn’t have TCLO, so I do it myself.
Never know when someone’ll bump the switch and accidentally turn it on.
