18650 single battery holder

Would someone kindly direct me to the best quality 18650 lithium ion single battery holder and the source. The cheap $.99 ones (eg. SMKN) are exactly that. They are cheap, flimsy, and routinely scar the battery when putting it in and taking it out. Leads are not necessary.
thanks
Rob

All joking aside, I honestly find a 1x18650 torch to be the perfect holder. Safe, secure, resistant and water proof.

got free ones when I bought my ET 3400 + 3100 batteries.

If you have a container store in your area, I’ve found these to work great for single 18650 carry….and BUDGET friendly too - sometimes even on sale!

Illumination Supply carries the KeepPower 1x 18650 case.

I purchased two and have been very happy with them. They have not yet seen hard use (backpack or pocket), but I have plonked them around on my tables and desks. I am pleased with the clasp, it has a very positive action when it clips or unclips. The feel of the plastic is good, etc. They easily accommodate my longest cells (NCR18650B with a cheap protection circuit). Fitting long cells and having a good clasp are really what seals the deal here. I have a lot of 2x18650 cases from varied sources (DX, FT, MTN Electronics, others) and none of those has a clasp that feels anywhere near as secure as this.

On the FT interesting items thread Chloe recently brought up these silicone carriers, you may want to look at them as well depending on your application.

Awesome I thought, they deliver to Australia. 5 of those containers listed at #3 $48.10 delivery. Thats insane.

Hey… I think that’s a soda bottle before they expand it to full size.
Ok… a little Google action says yes, it is!

Not knocking Light Hound (who is a quality vendor); but here’s a better deal on those bottles:

they can ship usps 1st class too

Not clear if you’re looking for storage or power, but MPD (memory protection devices) holders (Digikey, BH-18650-PC-ND) are good. They’re tight with protected panasonic 3100s, but work. The only bad thing, imho, is that they’re fairly grabby, so hard to remove the battery sometimes. I usually drill a push-through hole in the middle back to make this easier. Others have said they’ve shaved a bit off the wings to good effect. Keystone also seems to make a quality product. I got some holders from DX a couple of years ago, and they were complete cr!p.

also see the 4 cell.
i did up a rig with 4 on those paralell to make a 16 cell setup for a hobby charger.

Snakebite,
Thanks. Someone finally realized I wasn’t looking for a storage box.
