21700 tube for the D4SV2 - comparisons

Didn’t know whether to put this one in the 21700 Flashlight category, or the 26650 Flashlight category

I just got a D4SV2 21700 tube sent with an order of a few D3AAs and I thought you might be interested in some comparison photos.

The new 21700 tube is the same width and slightly longer in comparison with the original tube. IMO, this is a better approach than a thin 21700 tube, due to the proportions of the chunky D4SV2 head, but I think opinions are split on this.

Comparison of the D4SV2 with the original 26650 tube (l) and with the new 21700 tube (r):

Comparison of a DM11 with 21700 tube (l) with the D4SV2 with the 21700 tube (r):

Comparison of the D4SV2 with the new 21700 tube (l) and a Fireflies E07x Canon (r):

AFAIK, the E07x Canon is more or less the same size as the new Fireflies E04 Surge, whcih will be a direct competitor to the D4SV2.

Not bad, but I kinda want an adaptor tube in the 26800 format for that extra length

Here are some pics of the spacer inside the tube. A Reddit user requested them, probably worth posting here too:

Can’t remember where i got this tube but it’s quite awesome. No spacer needed. One of my top five lights.

oh yea i have those. I meant a tube that size that was designed to hold a 21700. The point would be to use a 21700 while maintaining the form factor of the 26800. I love the 26800 but idk if i’ll find any more after mine are used up
