I’ve read a few things about this cell and have to admit I like the bigger is better. I was part of the 26800 crazy at the very beginning. now this cell, for some it’s only 3 of convoys 26650 to 26800 extensions.
please post any ideas.

Says sold out to me.
It would be nice to have a single-cell BLF LT1, using a … what was it called… a 46950 or something like that. Huge cell with a ton of energy, which would let the lantern stand tall and run a very very long time. With a USB charge port built into the lantern, of course, to charge it and use it as a powerbank.
Not that I really need a lantern. I just like to have a couple near me while I’m working at night, running in candle mode to add ambience. And the old LT1 already works fine for that purpose.
Otherwise though, I don’t have much use for cells bigger than 21700. That’s about as big as a light can get and still be EDC-able, IMO. The Emisar D4K or DA1K hits the upper limit for something I’d carry around all the time.
The Emisar D4S (26650), for example, is a very nice light… but it’s just too dang big. It needs a coat pocket or holster or something, and it’s too wide and heavy to carry other things in the same hand while I’m using it.
Bigger lights still have their uses, but I only use them occasionally, for specialized tasks. The most frequent is an Emisar M44 on a shelf in the bathroom, ceiling-bounced when I want something less bright than the mains lights.
OTOH, if I spent a lot of time walking around at night, like as a security guard or something, I’d probably love a 26x110mm battery so I could keep a light running at a pretty bright level all night every night.
Looking at double 21700/26650’s, these 11,000 mah do closely the same while slightly shorter overall and no need to cell balance. i’m still stuck on single cell lights. ordered the battery and just waiting to do some run test.
If anyone knows a source to get one of these batteries that is in stock, please post it up. I’d like to try one out on a project
going gear has them. EMAIL10 took 10% off.
Awesome. Thanks!
I think I got the last one.
Hmmm, I got one of those Queen-something 26800 cells for s&g but still don’t have a light to fit it.
If someone could bore out a Q8 to fit one of those 48whatevers, it’d be a hoot, but…
Lightbringer ask. Convoy makes the M3C in several LED’s and sells the 15mm extension. I’m using three for this cell. The M3C has it’s own charging port.
I was going to use 3 extensions on a DDH host. Either a D2IC or D5F.
Another light to buy?? ![]()
I was hoping to find a generous 26650 light with beefy loooong springs and maybe cut them down to squeeze in one of those puppies, the way an 18500 can be shoehorned into a shorty S2+ by doing similar.
If not a nubbin on one/both ends, then something like a Belleville washer or bowed metal leaf (like the positive terminal of lots of battery holders) for at least minimal springiness.
That’s becaise they became irrelevant with 21700 improvements. Why pay for big and heavy light with 7000mAh 15A tops when you have 6500mAh high drain 21700 in a much more compact form factor? 26110 are better but they’re still niche, large and expensive.
There’s now a dedicated 26105 tube for medium sized DDH lights(D2iC, M4D, D5F & M10A). Paired with XBY32mm 18A buck + FET driver it puts out serious firepower
have a look.
EVE or BAK 26105 can be had for under ¥40rmb. Not far from top tier 21700 really.
They are still large.
Yes they are. Fit my hand well, eats the heat like no little light can. Use it all night for a few days.
Got the 26110 battery yesterday at 3.1 volts. It has a thicker than usual shrink wrap cover. About 10mm’s on each side has a metal band that leads to the ends. I cut off the wrapper and checked if it was protected or an extension. It’s neither and only for curiosity did i remove the wrapping. It’s rewrapped and for everyone else leave the much better original on. For the Convoy M3C it took three of Simon’s 15mm extensions and two button spacers to make it work.
My Weltool cell is scheduled for delivery tomorrow!
I’m going to try it in one of my DDH hosts
