Aldi-Sued is selling a 3xC with 3 modes tomorrow for ~ 20 €. (normal price is about 50€)
It is probably a Mellert TL580.

20 euros? a little much for my diet.
how about the sun ones on lightake? better for upgrading? no one responded to my thread

Just bought that thing. 4 wire XR-E EZ900 emitter, electronic switch, pulls ~0.9A on ~4.5V ... not bad, build quality is OK but could be better, plastic lens, plastic reflector, 3-modes no strobe, 3 year warranty.... so a little more than the usual 30 days ;-)
