3D printing a flashlight Head

Hey guys,
I am thinking of designing a 90° Head for my Wurkkos FC11C. It will be made from 3D printed aluminium. Prices have come down a lot, especially for smaller parts. Have you tried something like that before? Do you have some advice/thoughts?

Just ordered the part (designing it took a lot loger, than expected). Will keep you posted, when it arrives.

Please design S2+ tail so we may order only that part
and S2+ metal button screw/holder thingy so we can lighted (not dim) metal switch

Without the part at hand, I dont think I can do this. I would need to take some measurements and also do some test prints.

I received the parts a few weeks ago and forgot to update you guys. Apparently small threads like those in the FC11C cant be printed, or at least not by the manufacurer I choose. It would have to be machined after printing, which defeated the whole purpose of 3D printing it to be cheap.

Are you talking about an entire head or just a 90 degree bezel?

Don’t know. Just throwing out an idea - maybe an L-shaped piece of aluminum on which to mount the MCPCB, that can be screwed down to the shelf. Then for the bezel, 3D print something that encloses everything. This new bezel add-on could be glued to the stock bezel to utilize the threads.

If you’re going for a new head, have you tried measuring the body tube threads to see if they are a standard tap size? Assuming you can tap 3D printed aluminum. I’m not familiar with it.
