I think its a clone by probably the OEMs who make the thorfire tk4a. The specs match with TK4A.
Here is another ink from aliexpress , but it looks like its un-branded, Also I see the front of the flashlight has some dimples in these clones while I dont see it on the thorfire pictures. Some one who owns this flashlight can probably help you better.
I have a Sofirn 4xAA light. I’ll do a quick review with some outdoor beamshots in another thread. And yes, the head is glued tight. I haven’t tried heat and strap wrench yet.
It’s identical to the Thorfire TK4A in every way. Only thing different is the name printed on the light. It looks like they are smooth bezels now too. Mine has those indents on the bezel.
We are not up to anything. The two lights are identical, made by the same company using the same components. You can buy both the Thorfire and the Sofirn for $24 dollars right now on Amazon (US) using coupon codes, and receive them in two days instead of 3 weeks from China.
I ordered one. I have 72 AA’s I got from Cosco for membership, so I need to use them for something . I do believe Thorfire and Sofirn, are inter-mingled somehow. Sofirn’s C2, is an identical copy of Thorfires’s Tg06 (which is a copy of Nitecore MT1A?), lol. I had a link to Sofirn’s production facility, at least making the Electronics, that were used in the Thorfire C8, VG series, and TG06, but I can’t find it. Anyhow, the reviews I’ve seen on both have been positive, so with this deal I’m exited, and looking forward to delivery.
