[4K]Sofirn SP10 Pro, Anduril V2, 14500/AA EDC Flashlight

Would appreciate feedback on whether you enjoy me walking around with my new gimbal and camera, instead of a stationary camera shining the light around. For the first time I actually enjoyed making the night footage, previously I was pretty much copying Flashaholic channel and it just wasn’t my style. I could now only start walking around since I just purchased a gimbal, I have a bad hand tremor and couldn’t hold the camera still enough.

This hobby has costed me $7K on camera equipment so far…I purchased a Night Vision Scope for $1800 just two weeks ago to start reviewing Infrared flashlights. Next is an underwater housing to review dive models, that’s the plan anyway.

Great video as always! Whew, that’s a lot of investment for reviewing. I say first and foremost, do what makes you happy and what keeps you engaged with the hobby…otherwise you’ll reach burnout and the joy will lose its shine. I like the added walking, gimbal did a great job of keeping it smooth and useful/not irritating for the viewers to watch. For me personally, I really like the stationary beam shots you’ve always done…brief and useful…but the walking footage adds another helpful layer. Maybe a bit less walking, for my tastes, although with a brighter light that might change it up a little. Always bonus points for farm wildlife.

Thank you for the feedback.

Yes, I’m in the process of finding a balance of what works best. I may cut the UI down to briefly skimming over it and just mentioning the features like lockout without actually showing it. Cut the talking, incl the UI, to 5-6 minutes max. I’ll use the gimbal for just the very beginning to go through the levels, then switch back to my tripod and quick bursts in various locations.

I could perhaps even leave out all the issues until the end of the video. I used to have a conclusion section at the very end.

I was talking with Marco at 1Lumen, and will start including up close photos while speaking. This should help engagement instead of just staring at my hands haha. I was thinking about showing myself on camera instead of my hands, but I’ll see

Very enjoyable video.

Walking around while holding the camera almost gives us the viewer a first person perspective of what it would be if we were there, using the light ourselves in a real life setting.

The farm environment and animals make the video even more interesting.

Nice!

The Night Footage chapter was much more engaging as a viewer (walking around while demonstrating the modes and talking a bit about the beam and the farm).

The walking helps judge distances a lot better than just a photo. If I had to pick, stationary beamshots would be preferable, but both would be even better.

I had both though, all photos are at the end
