5A 3 mode Lightmalls 17mm driver

Anyone used these drivers yet?

Are these the ones that were in the BLF Custom Board thread??

I want to try one, but I don’t want to buy a 5-pack if they are rubbish….

Thanks.

- edit - I realize they aren’t the BLF Custom boards, but I’m guessing they are using the same or similar components, with differing firmware?

Not yet, but sounds interesting. Nice mode spacing and memory. No blinkies.

I am not familiar with that driver, but it is not worth $25. That I can be sure of.
Edit: But, now that I noticed it’s a 5-pack, it’s more reasonable
Edit2: Buying five might not be the best way to try these out though…

It’s the same V10 driver they sell at FastTech. It will give you about 3.2 - 3.8 A. There’s a 5A ramping model also. The 3A model will give you about 1.9A.
I have some 4A models I haven’t tried yet, I’m expecting about 2.9A.
Not the greatest drivers.

Yeah - I already bought the FT one a while back, & was disappointed, along with quite a few other people.

It looks similar to the ‘v10’, but has ‘v9x’ on the base plate.

Pity they only sell lots of 5 - maybe to get rid of them faster??

I wonder why not many people interested in this driver? Some BLF members have reported good amp draw with this driver at about 4.6A.

The Nanjg 105C is really good and I can do some 7135 stacking but it is troublesome to me (lazy) and the 105C driver cannot be fitted perfectly in some lights like the HD2010.

This is the BLF Custom Board (Has Moonlight Mode)
