Well, I hope the end result of experimenting with powering up that monster would be used offroad, I’d hate to be a driver with a biker using that thing powered up to 5600 lumens spilling light everywhere…makes me wonder if we will have laws limiting power of lights soon if people do this kind of stuff too much. Cars headlights are only around 1,000-2,000 lumens and directed away from oncoming drivers.
if you think this light is bad for drivers… imagine those people who has car between 1990 and 2000 and using HID light kits in their headlights? that’s even worse as their headlights are not meant to be used with HID kits.
it’s blinding everybody out there :Sp
Yup, those aren’t cool either. I’m just hoping we don’t get ridiculous regulations for lights on bikes and/or people as a reaction to some others who decided that having an ultra bright light on high along a roadway is cool and causing an accident. I’ve already seen a few really bright blinkers/lights on bikes and the odd thing is, when I’m very tired, I notice I do tend to fixate on them…I can sort of understand the claim that tired (or intoxicated) people are drawn to them. And yeah I don’t know for sure about the intoxicated people claim, but I can only imagine its amplified
The good thing about a lot of emitters is that it reduces surface brightness without reducing the light put in the road, which is really what's so incredibly painful to look at. Even better would be using the type of lens on the Armytek Wizard Pro. It does two very important things. It prevents looking directly at the emitter, so it's less blinding to others. It also creates a very even beam pattern without hot spots, so your eyes see more instead of constricting because of the hot spots and therefore seeing less of the rest. Automotive lights were mentioned earlier, and that even beam pattern is a big deal for cars too.
How did you do the resistor mod to this light? And how much did you increase the power?

take the screws out from the back and then take the driver out carefully as it is potted… I think I added R220 on it just to give it slight bump in lumens, it noticeably brighter than stock
It was a scam…
Ya, I got the same message. Lucky AliExpress has buyer protection like I stayed in my first post. These new sellers I swear, I won an auction on eBay for a Brand New Dell 12-cell 11.1v 96wh laptop battery for $9.50 total and the seller with 0 feedback just gave me a refund 4 days later, saying wrong item lol.
You win most, and in this case lose some every once in a while.
Funny thing is the seller for this bike light write me yesterday saying it was such in local customs. Haha. If it was a scam, I get my money back so no big deal. Maybe it's fate telling me to get the tiny Yinding 2x bike light.
hmm… I didn’t get any message
