Hello everyone. Apologies for the delay in up keeping this thread. Aside from being busy at work i just cycled 240km over the weekend in a place that had in/out phone reception. Getting back on track now....
Well, my possiblity to enter this year's contest is slowly fading. One important thing for me would be to have appropriate drivers and unfortunatelly I've not been able to order it/them (as I would chose the modding project meanwhile...). So, maybe I won't be in after all. Let's see how next weeks go... Congrats to the ones that have it finished yet and good luck for the still ongoing projects
Sorry to hear that MascaratumB. If you eventually get your parts you can always go ahead with the build :-) Or wait till next year ;)
Is there any chance that one of the "TBD" prizes will be a headlamp? laughing
Good question. I'll investigate but don't get your hopes up :ARROW-RIGHT:
As I announced in post #12 I started a build thread for my “20cm fresnel lens thrower”:OLcontest, modified light: 20cm fresnel lens thrower that I would like to use to enter the competition this year. I’m not sure though in which category it should be, or even if it fits any of the categories. It is almost entirely made from scratch, with loose parts, but it does use a 21700-size battery tube/switch from a Yootoo SD2, because that is IMO really the best and safest way to make a battery carrier for this build. So that makes it fall out of the handmade category. But it is not a modded flashlight either, or you would have to call it a heavily modded SD2 Any ideas if this can be an entry this year? If not, I’m fine anyhow, I’m having a lot of fun building it

I did think your build is worthy of the OL comp It would need to go in the modified category. I understand it’s not a conventional modification but the last point of the handmade rules is pretty clear. Shall i add it to the modified list?
