i think the best bang for buck sst-90 is the trustfire x6.
its only about $100 and its pretty darn bright.
the tk70 is twice as much, but not twice as bright. not even close.

I think the main reason a lot of people hold back on the TF X6 is because the SST90 is underdriven quite badly, I don’t remember how much but I remember it being not that high.

yes i remember seeing videos on youtube and it is underdriven. but let me tell you guys, it can still throw like a beast. outthrows my king for sure. less than the tk70 though.

Ok, so where’s the benefit? Unless your really pushing the limits, an xm-l will do a similar job at much lower current draw - longer run time for chosen cell/able to use a cheaper cell. The only reason I can see for having an sst is so you can say “i’ve got a 9a sst” or am I missing something? :bigsmile: I’m not being facetious here, just curious.

That is the only reason, but I really want a sst-90 light.
