I haven’t built anything in a long time. I think once the BLF driver went mainstream there wasn’t much of anyplace to go . I’m long retired now. Trolling Lake Ontario for trout and salmon in my fishing kayak. Just got over my third bout with Covid. I was still here when Old Lumens passed. He gifted me his pure copper torches. I’m sorry to see a lot of the photos from old builds have disappeared. I kinda knew that was going to be the fate of af a lost BLF threads.
Anyway, I’m going to keep looking around in case flashlight tech has gone places I never thought.

I hear ya. I came here when that was all ramping down, and DsBar, Comfychair, Lexel, Tom_E, theMiller were winding down with projects (LT1, Fw3A, etc). I miss those wild builds too. It’s what got me started in this hobby and modding-unconventional flashlight hackery. I haven’t done anything wild in a few years yet.
Wurkkos TS10 is a great little floody light for close range. If youre interested in learning Anduril UI, it is very inexpensive, and full featured.
Im fond of the White MAO finish. They also offer a very handsome Titanium w Copper model. Buy w the 4000K LED, and with the battery.
Same here, Ouchyfoot. Been away for a quite a while. Creeping towards retirement myself. Looking at trying some builds that I never got around to as well. I was pained to hear about OL. Such a nice guy. Always supportive and he will be missed. I remember threads with you in the past. I hope all is well and your retirement is long and fullfilling.
