A really great International Who Done It movie

The Bullet Vanishes

Ok, it's not like some blockbuster movie, but for an International movie, it is really a great plot and story. The two cops in it are very good and it's just simply one of the best free movies I have seen in a while.

I like Murder Mysteries and Police Procedurals, but there's not a lot of good free stuff out there. Do you know of others like this?

Check out Police, Adjective (2009).

Over the last few years I have watched a couple of British TV murder mysteries.

“Foyles War” has run for 8 seasons and each show, approx 2 hours, is a murder mystery set during WWII. I rented them from Blockbuster but maybe you can get them from your library. There are about 28 episodes in all.

Also another Bristish TV murder mystery series is “Midsommer Murders” This is a long running show, 17 years and has just passed 100 episodes. Maybe you can also get those at your library.

I really enjoyed both of these shows. There are many others on British television

Miss Marple
Poirot
Inspector MOrse
Prime Suspect!!! very very good
Rosemary and Tyme

You might also enjoy “The Killing” EXCELLENT. Was canceled after the first 2 years which was the solving of just 1 murder!
It came back for another murder and was canceled again, but it was a very well done show.

“Touching Evil” was another first done by the British in 1997 and then again in the USA in 2004. Same exact episodes in each production and they both were very good

Another not-free suggestion (sorry!): I recently watched Broadchurch and was impressed. It’s another British whodunit / drama, probably more recent than most of the other whodunit material you’ll find. It is in what I consider the ideal format for a TV show. My ideal TV show cast, crew, and management goes into the show planning on a set number of episodes. They then execute a strong plot arc paced to complete at the end of the series. This thing is 8 ~45min episodes and not one is filler. That’s a winner in my book! The setting is also very nice.

If you can find them

The Bridge (Danish: Broen; Swedish: Bron)

Wallander

The Killing (also known as Forbrydelsen)

Borgen

Those Who Kill (also known as Den som dræber)

The Eagle: A Crime Odyssey (also known as Ørnen: En krimi-odyssé)

Rejseholdet (also known as Unit 1)

Love/Hate

The Ledge

Luther

Boss

Bletchley Circle

Coriolanus

YES, Wallender!

I have watched all of both the Swedish AND the UK shows
That poor guy!

And as you mention, “The Killing” was done by both the Danish and then again in the US.

And I forgot, my wife and I watched another one you mentioned, All 2 seasons of Bletchley Circle.

Some of these British and Scandinavian shows can be found on PBS.

AND…………. speaking of Swedish films. “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” WOW
This is the first of 3 films in the series and I have seen them all.

Sony Pictures has done the first of the 3 with Daniel Craig as the protagonist. Can’t wait for the next 2!

I don’t like much of the Swedish crime series but Wallander sure was great.
Beck is another one that is pretty popular here.

You mean this one?

Brilliant film, how did you come by it?

The Man From Nowhere (2010)

Another great one. I've seen it several times.

Both the bullet vanishes and the man from nowhere are great films.

U have good taste.

U gotta see this

I Saw the Devil

I have heard of K-Pop but is there K-Crime?

Do I see a trend here?

If remimber “Old Boy” should qualify as K-Crime

I have watched this one a number of times. From Ireland

Freeze Frame

The trailer:

Old-Lumens, if you like that movie you mentioned, you will absolutely love a South Korean film called The Man from Nowhere (2010). It remains one of the best action movies I’ve ever seen in my life. If you do watch it you should watch it in Korean and use subtitles, english dubs are bad. Someone posted it on YouTube, but there’s no subtitles. Anyway, yes on my list this movie is excellent.
