AA/AAA Charger Recommendation on a budget (including shipping)

Ill chk it out kreisler…

What does Charge current: max. 1800mA means?

EDIT: Seems I’m out of luck kreisler. I registered on the website and it does not provide shipping to Mauritius. I cannot add it as my shipping location from the drop down menu as it is not there.

you can set the charge current before you start the charging process. the C9000 has a similar limit. charging at 2.5A charge rate, for example, is not possible.

as i told you, no problem. NKON ships to anywhere in the world. ( hold on.. )

This??

i am sure that nobody on BFL has bought it already ;)

For uber-budget, this one is actually pretty decent…it’s super cheap on ebay and has independent channels…see this thread: Review: "Omnipotent Power" PR-838 AA / AAA 4-channel battery charger

My personal favorite is the Intellicharge I4. It charges both nimhs and lions and has 4 slots. Sadly no screen though.

@soy: Thanks checking it out…Cannot find links in ebay for the charger you mentioned nor is the pic getting displayed in the thread.

@scaru: links + price please…

@kreisler: GOOD NEWS!! The guy emailed me back and said hes adding Mauritius in shipping locations!!

MISSING LINKS on this one

Here is the one I was referring to…not much to risk really

Haha Thnks bro. Just found it out and was going to update my thread and you posted this! Ill get this one for my dad. Maybe one for me too if it is CONFIRMED by a BLF User that it has shutdown feature when batteries charged and it can charge batteries independently….

That’s how mine works…for the money, it’s hard to beat with independent channels. I also have a Maha C9000, but I also use this. Great for travel too. It isn’t the fastest charger, but a good deal.

How long to charge 4 AA batteries at same time? 12 hours?

Other (fast) chargers (free shipping worldwide?):
SANYO NC-MQR06 (from ~$22)
GP H500 (from ~$27)
strange MAHA (?) quick charger with display (from ~$36)

The MQR06 can also be gotten for 19.75 EUR with a 4-pack of AA Eneloops included: http://ru.nkon.nl/maha-powerex-sanyo-eneloop-chargers/r-sanyo-eneloop-charger-mqr06.html
Or for 23 EUR with 4-pack of AA Eneloop XX’es (2500mAh): http://ru.nkon.nl/maha-powerex-sanyo-eneloop-chargers/r-sanyo-eneloop-lader-mqr06-e-4-3uwx.html

I would go this route+one or two cheapy ebay fast chargers soytnly posted about.
This way you will have one charger with LCD and testing function and one/two chargers to charge batteries in different ways in case you need to or your main-LCD charger is busy/not available.

BUT do keep in mind, that it looks like it takes ~10+ hours to charge 2000mAh AA battery with that <5$ Ebay charger, its good as additional or reserve charger to keep it at locations other than your own home, nothing more.

Charging batteries fast with one of these:
http://ru.nkon.nl/maha-powerex-sanyo-eneloop-chargers/r-iq328.html

…will be much faster, even if youre charging, for example, 12 batteries, because total time to charge all those 12 batteries in 3 sessions with 4 batteries in each session will be much faster than charging all those batteries in separate chargers with different charging speeds(ie LCD smart charger+1 or 2 cheap Ebay chargers).
Sure, you can use those Ebay chargers to start charging batteries while your main LCD charger is busy charging and then when its done simply take those batteries out from Ebay charger and continue charging them in LCD charger, it will save some charging time in total, but not by much IMO.

My main charger is MAHA C9000, which is similar to those two links I posted/re-posted for you and I use 2xSysmax i4 as my additional chargers - one is at our country side(so I dont have to take C9000 with me for simple charging tasks), while the other is at home to supplement C9000 if need arises when C9000 might be busy.
The point being is that C9000 can charge up to 2A in all 4 channels while i4 is doing 2x750mA/4x375mA only.

I hope my post wasnt too long-confusing and its easy to digest :D!

My C9000 is 1A on four slots or up to 2A when using only two slots.
.

Hmm, are you sure its only 1A x4 and 2A x2?
I dont have C9000 with me ATM, but will re-check later.

Haha Finally I went for the “Super Quick power battery charger AA/AAA/MH/Ni-Cd 2A 3A”

Why? It meets my requirements at minimum costs.
4 charging AA/AAA bays.
Independent charging
Auto cut off

Other requirements were not needed such as discharging cells etc…

EDIT:
Got this one at just under $5!
