AC adapter question

I have a charger for a li-po battery pack (for a remote control airplane). In the battery pack itself is 3 wrapped li-po batteries in series. It is expecting 12 V.

The charger says 12 VDC 1.2 A. There are some connections to use with a car battery.

I want to use it with house current of course (US). I’m finding some AC adapters on ebay that say 12 V 2 A with the appropriate (US) 110 V plugs and with the correct size 5.5 mm * 2.1 mm pin connector for the battery pack.

The only question that I’m asking is 12 V 2 A input going to work for something that says 12 V 1.2 A. I’m not sure how the charger works and whether the 2 A will be too much or if the charger can handle that. Anyone?

For AC adapters higher current / amps is fine. The current is just available, the device is free to use less current.

Thanks. I had a feeling that was the case but wanted to be sure before ordering or using this product.

Be aware that a lot of junk AC adapters are being sold. Generic, “oem” & counterfeit brand name. The worst are a serious fire danger. Its hard to know what your getting.
Best to buy directly from a large well known company.

Tiny, cheap, and dangerous: Inside a (fake) iPhone charger tl;dr You really need to avoid mystery manufacturers & counterfeits.
