Acebeam H16 issue: input on problem and/or customer service?

Hi all,
I bought an Acebeam H16 back in March. I liked the light after messing around with it when it arrived, so I stuck it in with my camping gear. I was not able to take a camping trip until over a month later. When I used it on that first trip, I noticed a weird flickering issue that does not happen every time the light is turned on, but probably about 50% of the time. The flickering happens most frequently after a mode change. It is not a consistent flicker like a visible PWM, but is a sporadic flicker where the brightness sputters for a few seconds before stabilizing and then the the “flicker” stops and the light is usable. This is super annoying and also make me wonder if there is a loose connection somewhere in the driver. (I tried the obvious solution of cleaning the contacts, but this did not help at all).

However, it was already past the 30 day mark and I could not do an Amazon return or exchange. I reached out directly to Acebeam via the contact form on their website about 3 days ago but have not received a response or even a confirmation.

So, two questions:

First, has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any resolution?

Secondly, has anyone dealt with Acebeam customer service? How long did it take you to get a response and what was the outcome?

I sent one back to amazon for the same reason.

Often flickering is bad contact somewhere. I also had a similar problem with a Manker E03 and the problem was poor contact between the head and body tube. The head was glued on so it was a bitch to get it off and tighten it properly. The H16 may have had the same issue, but the head also seems glued on, so I didn’t mess with it, just sent it back.

I had a bad battery once and Acebeam sent me a new one, so they are potentially helpful.

If you can’t get any help from them try to wrench the head off the light with some strap wrenches or something, clean everything and reassemble it.
