There’s a spring on the driver, so any battery will do. But there’s the contact for the inner tube around it and therefore a chance that a large contact surface on the battery will connect to it. Seems unlikely but one never knows. I didn’t dare to try it out.
Btw, love this light. Especially the LEDs are really good, very close to bbl.

Does this light use standard optics, or will standard Carlco triple optics fit this light?
I’m wondering if anything could be done to make a narrower, more throwy beam?
