The high CRI 519A is popular but not necessarily in 5000k.
On the headlight the website is claiming sst20 5000k high CRI. Is that an error? The sst20 2700 and 4000k are listed as high CRI but the 5000k and 6500k are shown as 70 CRI everywhere else.

I got used to that double click for on in less then an hour and i did not like it since i heard about that UI.

Now i do not even notice it....

Just saw the specs on website and i must say i am getting one for sure. Actually 2, second will be titanium....

BTW Acebeam, when you will go with titanium, DO NOT REDUCE OUTPUT but instead introduce copper or aluminium shelve...

I honestly don’t care about the double click for on.

But not working with normal flat tops is extremely disappointing.

And the lowest mode being 20 lumens is just ridiculous. For an EDC, a low of TWO lumens would be higher than I want. 20 is just absurd.

They probably got rid of the reverse polarity protection FET and dual sense resistors for space saving, having to use physical RPP (only button) and higher minimum.

Acebeam E70 CRI (FC40) : [image] Again it’s based on the MP3429, 12V output for this version, I believe the XHP70.2 version is 6V. What is interesting is that they use a second higher value (0.25Ω, 2x 0.5Ω weirdly) sense resistor for the moonlight mode, like my drivers and Zebralight’s (usually they use 3). Perhaps your original analysis is also why they did not even try for a legit moonlight mode. If the best they can do is 7.6% efficiency, why even bother?

E70 MINI is powered by 18650 battery (Recommended ACEBEAM ARC18650H-310A with PCB and Built-in USBC Port ).

Note: Do not use the batteries without circuit protection. Flat-top battery without protection is designed for industrial applications, not civilian battery and must be treated with cautions and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion.

If you have 18650 battery with PCB and the size length 65MM, it also fits for the E70 MINI.

Acebeam, I love your E70-AL, but do you know anything about batteries?

For a single cell flashlight, an unprotected battery is usually just fine if it's the right size.

Designing a single cell flashlight to only take protected batteries makes very little sense.

Honestly, I'm surprised that I know this and you seem not to.
