FYI I ordered 2 knives from Gearbest also, late August and early September. I received neither. They said they were shipped and must have been lost in the mail. They offered half refund and half store credit, which I haven’t accepted.

I have stopped ordering knives from gearbest, I have not received the last three.

+1 no more Ganzo orders from them for me either.

I too ordered a Ganzo from them and should have received it by now, I’ve been getting flashlights from them no problem, I ordered a Olight S30 around the same time as the Ganzo, used the same shipping method (paid extra for priority shipping) and received the flashlight about 10 days ago.

Its a pity because their sale prices on Ganzo are so good.

something not good is going on with Gearbest

Reading about all these knife orders not arriving from Gearbest made me think they are not actually stocking the Ganzo knives and are having them drop shipped from another supplier.

I think that’s why the flashlights shipped no problem, but not the Ganzo.

“to our colleague” ??? Hmmm, sounds like what I thought, they’re having them drop shipped from another supplier, who apparently is screwing up bad.

Well, always add tracking with gearbest and you should be fine…it’s true their ganzo prices are great.

Found this small folding kukri on AE

Ball bearing pivot, choice of two G10 handle types, steel isn’t the best but for $20 i couldn’t resist as i like the recurve shaped blades and there’s not many folding types.

Thanks for posting this! I also like the recurve/kukri style but never noticed this one. I really like that it has the KVT style pivot bearings and a blade flipper! I’m going to get the version with the wave (anso pattern) scales.

At 9.3” overall I’m suprised you call it small, but I see in your case how it’s dwarfed by the CS Rajah II !

Well, always add tracking with gearbest and you should be fine…it’s true their ganzo prices are great.

Patrick, I did add tracking and so far I’m not fine. I also paid extra for the faster shipping method (EMS 7-14 days, includes tracking)

I have two knives from that period, still not received. One is ticking on day 78, and the other on day 85. I will wait up to 90 days, then file a claim. No response, then contact Paypal customer support.

I have had no other issue with GearBest, but the shipping times are ridiculous at some times.

Once I used Expedited Shipping and that company added 23 USD for a Customs Declaration ( the customs value was 0 )

Thanks for the comparison photo, I’m excited to get the TwoSun pocket kukri. Again thanks for posting about it.

My Boker Magnum Pocket Kukri has an issue when I “flick” it open the liner lock bar goes over too far (the whole way over) and jams tight so I have to pry it with a screwdriver to close the knife, I also have another version a Timber Wolf brand, same knife but the blade is shiny instead of the bead blasted finish on the Boker. The Timber Wolf locks up perfectly no issues.

For the big one I have this: Paul Ehlers K-1 Kukrage (18” overall)

Its more like a machete than a knife, got it many years back, not sure if it still being produced.

Just checked out TwoSun knives on AE. They had a couple of nice looking blades. 9cr18mov and TC4 combination for a really nice price. Dont know the quality of their knives though.

One tc4 did not have a lockbar insert and one even had steel washers between the tc and the blade so the bearings wont dig into the tc4.
One had a quite deep carrying clip and others had the normal clip.

I’ll stop my rambling now. Maybe they are improving their designs? Lockbar insert is a must on tc4 IMO.

All in all they look quite gorgeous for the price that is really appealing.
As I said my opinion is that tc4 needs a steel lockbar insert.
Hope twosuns realizes this and improves their tc4 line and pops an insert on all of em.

Anyone have one of these blades? Would like to hear about their fit n’ finish.

Don’t know why Chris Reeve does not use inserts. Never handled a Sebbie but I have seen titanium framelocks without an insert to develop lock rock pretty easily. Inferior quality titanium maybe? The truth still is that titanium is always softer than the blade itself… Hence my love for steel inserts.

Received my carbon fiber shirogorov F95 and its awesome! Until the bearing ball of the lock bar start falling… Twice… But after several flipping moves for its defense, around 20 maybe. I see with the vendor if he can send me a replacement part. Luckily the top frame lock is removable.

The other problems is the pivot that is always unscrewing itself when you open the knife. But you can easily adjust it with your nail. The side clip is very thin at the middle also. I’m afraid it might broke if too much tension is applied to it…

Two things to note:

1)It arrived in RECORD time! To Canada, shipped Oct.21, arrived Oct.30. I’ve never had anything arrive so fast.

I couldn't resist after reading the above. I have to say I agree with everything you said. Mine isn't shaving sharp, but it's pretty darn sharp after just a couple minutes of stropping. The handle has some slight edges that will knock down easy with some high grit sand. Haven't taken stone to the blade yet, but it sure looks good. These budget knives keep getting better.

So I guess knives can’t ship EMS/ePacket?

I did have an AE seller tell me knives can’t be shipped via ePacket, (after they took my money/additional payment for it) but I was skeptical because so many AE sellers show ePacket as the default shipping in their knife listings.
