They’re kind of pricey. Not super pricey, but far more than Trustfire, etc.
I have 1 though and it’s a micro light that cost roughly $55-60 new. When I got it though, I could see why it cost what it did. Anodizing perfect, flawless non-crunchy threads, and nicely balanced.
Couldn't pass it up. I guess now I have to get some button-top high-drain batteries. Anyone have any luck using flat-top 30Qs with this Sofirn Q8? Any other battery recommendations?
Yes, butt they are raised enough to make contact. Might lose momentary contact if bumped very hard on the bottom. My button top 30Qs can also if bumped hard.
I have no problems in either of my Q8s.
BTs will work if squished down hard enough, but you gotta be careful.
Eg, if 1 cell makes contact but 3 don’t, the light will work on all modes, but if you turbo it, it’d try to draw full current through 1 cell and 1 spring, and Bad Things™ might happen.
