Buy cheaper new, get it, “return” untouched cheaper new as pricier already-assembled old. :person_facepalming:
Also works with “lifetime warranty” stuff that breaks but the mfr wants you to spend more’n the thing’s worth to ship back for repair. Buy new, “Hey, it’s DOA!”, send back the old busted one and keep the newer one. Shady? Maybe, but so’s a “lifetime warranty” that ain’t.
This is one reason manufacturers change part # and appearance every so often, then it is not exact item.
As for my $6 “loss” on SP35, I will eat it.
Not worth the risk that the one they re send isn’t messed up and don’t like to cause unnecessary return rate. Keep the goodwill for when the return is warranted.
Look at it this way, you get a dozen wings at the Bar 45 minutes before happy hour and pay full price, you wouldn’t ask them for the discount refunded after happy hour specials on wings started.
If you consider the product worth the price offered when you by buy, it then it becomes a moot point of the price thereafter. Deal is done.
On another note, you know the Gig is really up when you see the Hats and Shirts of a candidate who recently ran for office on the Dollar table as it was today at the Farmer’s Market. Lot’s of Hats and few buyers.
Previous buyers will not be getting issued refunds
