I received my Kucoal headlamps yesterday —$8 is close to paying too much for them — If you wouldn’t get the case it would be — these are bigger than the Sofirn D25S and have old XML LEDs in them —the driver has some ridiculous modes — 1 light on (.875a) then the other light on (.875a) then both on (.95a)then blinky crap —- I was hoping to be able to use the Optic on the sofirn light but it’s bigger also —- Oh well I’ll use the case for a better light and gift these things to some grandkids
Got mine today, basically agree but as long as the driver layout is the same as the others, I'm good with upgrading to a FET+1 - got a bunch of blank PCB's. So far it appears to be the same setup/design so should be good. These lights will always have limited amps from a FET because of the LED wires (super thin), but I'm ok with it running a useful UI like Anduril 2 and as long as I can get warm or deep neutral LED's in it, ok with me.
Unfortunately the LED Desk Lamp deal for $6.00 - $8.00 fell through for me too. Amazon sent me an email stating the company hadn’t fulfilled their obligation
to ship the desk lamps.
Yeah Amazon sent me the same email —- they haven’t charged me so I’m gonna let it sit a while — I checked that company has a very poor rating in the last several months
Got em, ok, nothing special, maybe worth what I paid. The large is tight and my hands are not that big, but maybe my wife would use a pair too. Also the left is stitched the same as the right.
The driver turned out to be different. Stock driver has a switch on one side, spring on the other - Quadrupel's driver doesn't have the spring - spring was on a separate PCB with the old classic Boruit style headlamps -- oh well.
D25 style on top. Few style changes, and the threads don't match:
So on the outside, very similar, but the inside - they combined the USB charge circuit with the LED driver on one PCB where before they were separate.
Great price $14.50 with coupon. However, (limited knowledge here) as it appears to not be a pure sine wave, would it work with a CPAP and sensitive electronics? Wondering what other things would or would not not power? Can we discuss or does anyone know anything about this power inverter?
