Says it’s made of aluminum. It looks like XT-E emitter on a star mcpcb ??

Iirr, someone posted a thread here on the thing pretty much burning itself up after being left on too long, ie, LED damage.
Ymmv.
Unno, think I’d just stick a 2000K LED in a cheap zoomie and lay it on a tabletop.

good reviews on the 2 chargers, good deal for 2
I have opened up some of those 5000mah cells that end up being 1500mah or less. On more than one occasion I have found those flat LiIon packs rolled up inside the cylinder with wires connected to the + and -. What originally made me open them was I could feel something banging around inside the cell, so of course I had to find out what it was.
I never even attempt capacity test or any kind of charging on those junky cells. They get the salt water treatment and in the bin they go.
No driving a nail through ’em, or giving ’em a squeeze in a hydraulic press, or the dreaded chainsaw treatment, nothing??
Mine arrived today. We are totally smoked out by the forest fires around here and expect two days without power, so I tested the air purifier and other stuff. They all perform fine. Thanks for the heads up on this and on the battery powered fan.
The Sunset Projecter appears to be way better quality than the one shown by Big Clive. The body is all aluminum. The led mcpcb held by thermal glue and appears to be properly heatsynced to the body. I didn’t remove the ‘pill’ because the flimsy screws that attach to body were over tightened and got stripped. There’s no mention of it but the UI has 3 buttons 1 off, 1 up and 1 down. It has stepped [click] and smooth [click hold] ramping brightness and there’s no visible PWM in camera.

Nice. Looks like it was a sweet deal. Hope it comes back, I might snag one.
Thanks, much better shots than I expected.
Seems like a nice mood light for the winter.
Nice. Wonder if those S2 steel bits are any better than any others, seems like a good application (high hardness, maybe more brittle). In for one!
I’ve owned several Chinese/generic branded precision driver sets and the bits are usually of very decent quality, the best ones so far were the Xiaomi with the sliding case. However their biggest enemy is not wear but rust since these are not coated, and they do rust very easily. Also have a wiha kit that cost me $27 and the bits from that one felt really soft, the small slotted bit got twisted trying to install a watch band link.
It's not super cheap, but this is what I use and it's very nice.

I use iFixit sets as my primary but my backup set is similar to the one below and it works just fine. No issues with rust or bending on either.

I use Ifixit also but these for the price look fine for a backup set. I also have a few wiha tools that are good too.
I bought the Nanch 22 in 1 set in 2016 and it’s still going strong. I really like the way the Philips bits are machined. They have a flat tip so they set down inside the screw heads and hold much better than most of the cheaper Phillips bits that have a more pointy tip.
I see there is now an S2 steel version of this set, but the price is double.
It’s back. Sunset Projection Lamp
