Yeah, but there are almost always deals if you look, especially the energizer stuff.
Right now you can get a two pack of lanterns for like $9, a aaa light for $5, their little 1xAA angle light for less than $6.50 etc.

Changes a’comin’ to amazon pricing soon. On April 28th they are going to assess a 5% surcharge fee to all sellers who use FBA services (mostly for fuel costs but also recouping some of their growth costs as they ramped up to serve during the pandemic). A lot of sellers will probably just increase prices accordingly but some may pull out of the platform entirely if they can’t still be competitive. We may see some of our deals get less dealy and maybe some things disappear.

That looks identical to a light I got of Amazon years ago. but it cost like $18?
Anyhow, I liked the design. Really sturdy.
Crappy UI - Always High - Med - Low - Red - Blinkies - Off.
The battery was crap.
On high the light was great - no visible PWM.
On Med and low - The crappiest PWM I have Ever seen. On low the PWM was 100Hz.

there are a bunch of those on amazon. the lowest I have seen was 9$ with 10% coupon. and there was a vipon code for one for 8$
so, not bad price if you looking for one now.

In the other hand, my A5 upgraded version has been on the keychain for almost a year now. Performs flawlessly and I charged it a total of about 8 times with daily use of short bursts. And it has only been accidentally turned on once. The clone is actually a bit brighter and the clear body doesn’t affect the side light as compared to the GITD A5 which makes it greenish.

I ended up buying one of those clones, just for the heck of it. $9.99 was hard to resist. I’m going to do a logged test of it and see how the discharge is managed and then report back.

So, how bad is the parasitic drain on yours?

Not exactly. Double click for main light with memory of last mode used, which could be moonlight.
