Yeah, my Ts21 apparently came with the switch light set on low. It is vaguely detectable. Might as will dig into the settings and turn it off, I guess. With all the erratic displays, I just turned the head a fraction last night when I went to bed. The 4-click lock-out does seem to work but I just felt safer. The battery check is kind of all over the place. This light is a bit of a mystery to be explored.

I charged up my phone with c to c cable.
Mine is like that too. I found that battery check in simple mode was goofy. In advanced mode it continues to blink out the voltage and the second time around and beyond were correct but not the first.

The brightness mode of the TS21 switch light can be set, and the light state can be changed by 7 clicks in the off,state: none-low-high-flickering cycle in turn.
