AMC7135

Are all these chips equal in quality?
I know they have the .35ma and .38ma but are they all made by the same company?
Is there some I should stay away from?

You asking about the individual 7135 chips or 7135 drivers. Chips are all basically same specs. Drivers are a different story. I like MTN’s qlite drivers.

Just the chips for when I want to stack them on drivers.
I’m just getting into building lights and have a couple Qlite drivers, extra chips and some other goodies coming from RMM.
I trust his quality.
Just curious if I need to stay away from some parts if I order elsewhere.

Nah, buy from RMM if you can but I believe they are all basically built to same specs so no difference between brands.

I’m probably wrong, but I always thought there was only one manufacturer (patented) so they all should be equal quality. The ones that come on a Qlite sometimes have different etching on them, but the ones I order from Fasttech and RMM always look identical.

I wish I could find some of the 390’s that I saw on a driver, but I’ve yet to find them for sale.

Thanks everyone.
This is one of those items I can have a few on hand.
I just got the 5 pack of the .38ma for the two builds I’m attempting.

390? Are you kidding me/us?

Someone with the knowledge should chime in here, but I think I have read here on blf somewhere that there's more than one factory making them. And that they all work fine.

I can name 3 brands, all parts are stamped differently, yet the Chinese style is to have them sold under what is commonly known. Many people reply to me, that is not possible. You only have to think about the massive confusion about "XML T6" "XM-L L2" and other names of this sort to realize how for the most common component there is lack of understanding, why should it be a profound understanding for other parts.

Confusion and lack of understanding. Now I get it.

If it can be cloned it probably has been and likely not to original specs but knock wood other than a few killed chips I’ve never seen any produce less than the correct current.

AMC7135 is stamped one company. ADDtek Taiwan.
