An interesting quote from Old Lumens...what do you think?

I'd like to mod a couple of lights I have, but only to get rid of the irritating blinky modes.

No need for more reach, I find that I use them most often indoors and that 1000 lumens is a waste of wattage.

Granted, sometimes I'll take my TK41 or HD2010 (which except for it's seizure modes is probably the best light for the money ever made), and run them outdoors on high just to make the neighbors wonder what the heck is going on out there.

But realistically, the 1000 lumen stuff is just a toy. As a tool, I value neutral tint and nice low and moonlight low a lot more the blown-out bright.

Did you get the new car with the gas engine or the wind-up key? Pull starter or electric starter?

LOL I have actually made a few nice lights into camera flashes! Really bright for the one second it takes to fry the emitter. :open_mouth:
