That is an awesome website, they have enthusiasts for old windows versions, i used windows 95 till 2006 when the bios chip on the motherboard died
Probably came from a Browser Redirect Virus. That’s why bleepingcomputer needs to have a look.
Didnt find anything - ( Scans ) ..
Chrome is supposedly good , but something happen to it .. SO I un installed it and put on a fresh download ..
Increased security a bit since then , so ?
But I ran scans before and after ? So thought ? is it BLF ... Since it was the only site it was happening ...
These redirect rootkits generally require a trained helper like the resources you can get for free at Bleeping Computer or some of the other sites to help you and direct you through all the proper procedures to find and remove the rootkit. You don’t say exactly what you did, but if you did not go that route, then chances are you still have the rootkit. It is highly unlikely it is BLF, your browser’s DNS path gets bushwacked long before you get to BLF, and that would be happening on your side of the equation I’m afraid.
Edit, BTW, I use What the Tech for these sorts of problems, it is similar to Bleeping Computer.
Malware scans / Virus scans / rootkit scans = all negative ..
If I have any more issue , it will be a clean install ..
But since removing chrome and doing a fresh install , nothing .. ( So ? )
