Any good multimeter deals?

Im searching some multimeter (price range maybe 25$ max, but cheaper is good too), to measure somewhat accurately DC current?

Has anyone stumbled on some deal recently.

I see Dinodirect (I have discoutn there) has many many different kinds of MMs (maybe even hundred of them).

Surely there is some deal there?

But it needs to measure current at least at 0,2A accuracy.

Someone recomended me on the forum, this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-Multimeter-VC97-AC-DC-Voltmeter-Capacita…

I’ve found it cheaper here – http://www.sunsky-online.com/view/210196/VC97+3+3+4+Auto+Range+Digital…

But on susky photos I dont ssee aligator clips, so I dont if its the same package.

SO, did someone bought recently some good and well priced MM??

this cheapie works well for what i do: http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-digital-multimeter-69096.html

I have same looking cheap MM from ebay but it doesnt measure current (amps) accurately.

Hmm, that leaves me with making DIY leads…. How?

I ordered this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/270765487538

Didn’t received yet.

is SUNSKY reliable ?

Yes Pavithra, I think (have several orders with them) they are professional and reliable

I also think they are the same as eforchhina.com

PS: YOu also have 6 or 7% discount coupon for both websites, I think

Yes, CS is not very ready to answer. I think they almost ignore small customers. (I forgot about that, but I didnt have problems with anything I ordered)
I was ordering some other things from them and there was no problem, some electronic devices, PC devices etc.

That one is even cheaper here http://www.ownta.com/dt9205a-digital-multimeter.html (never ordered from them but I thinkthey are not bad seller, they sell lot of spar laptop parts etc)

But who knows will I be able to make good leads :o

Maybe for you
Im not so practical (dont have much experiecne with all that), but Ill try to manage (first problem is that I dont have these parts, Ill have to find it in some store, and find wires, etc, I dont know different types of wires very well etc, but Il ask friend for some advice :o )

nice

The Equus 3320 tends to get good reviews.

Thanx a lot

PS: Are you sure they are 4mm.

In the description it says something that they are 6mm?

Thanx again

That’s what I have.

Ill follow Horstmann’s advice and order this one http://www.ownta.com/dt9205a-digital-multimeter.html
Im just orddering it

I had 3 DT9205 (different in housing but same inside circuit & ranges)

3 died within 3 years. one meter last around 1 year only. Im bit heavy user. one meter had a issue that contact plates wear out rapidly.
all 3 had wrong measurements sometimes. I had to open meter and clean contacts of selector switch.

So my idea is not to buy these craps. at least go for cheap auto range meter.

their accuracy is decent. but not reliable.

I can buy Fluke meter from total i spend for those cheap meters. never buy these again.

Now I had a same meter (brought locally) its now 9 months old. I know it will die withing next 6 months.

Im not so heavy user, maybe itll last more. If it measure s current accurately for a year Ill be satisfied, itll be great improvement over previous one

SOmetimes you get same for less price - thats A DEAL!

I finally made my own leads (new MM still haven arrived), although Im not very satisfied with wire I’ve got. I think its 1,5mm2 but it consists of smaller wires, so I hade trouble to install them in banana plugs too.

But, immediately current measurement of my 3$ ebay MM improved.

I managed to measure 3,3A on one directly driven XML with full trustfire flame, and 2,3A on UF-2100.

I hope Ill manage to get some better wire, I live in a small town and I think there are no place wich sells them…

(with dx leads I bought, trying to improve over stock leads, results were maximum 2,0amp)
