Just pulled these out of a new, but defective battery pack. I know they are 2200mAh because the battery pack was 11.1v @ 6600mAh (9 cells total). But I don’t know who the manufacturer is, I haven’t seen ones quite like this before.
I haven’t had a chance to check the voltage yet so no idea of they are any good.
Is there anything else printed on the cells except for what we see in the pictures?
They don’t look like cells from any of the 5 most known (on BLF) manufacturers - Panasonic/Sanyo/LG/Sony/Samsung.
They still might be great cells, though. Got a hobby-charger to test them?
Those look like Samsungs.
In what way? In sense that they have green shiny shrinkwrap? 
None of Samsungs have barcodes printed on them.
What brand and type of battery pack did you pull them out of?

They certainly do look like Samsung, almost exactly except for the writing on them.
Pack was for a Dell. It was an aftermarket pack. I don’t know where the person got it but it the computer wouldn’t detect it, that’s how I ended up with it.

Seriously, you shouldn’t determine cell based on color of shrinkwrap. Any company can get a kilometer of green shrinkwrap for a few bucks, and put it on their cells.
aftermarket packs typically use low-grade no name cells.
they might not even be worth your time, especially if the pack was old.
If it was a genuine dell, then maybe we could identify.
If they are above 3V when you get them out, charge them and give a test. Maybe you’ll get lucky.
It was not a genuine Dell pack, it was brand new however. I will know soon enough how good they are once I can charge them and do a discharge test. That’s if they are even around 3v-3.7v from the get go.
It was a bust harvest. 6 of the cells were at 1.4v and 3 were at 1.2v. So no good all around.
Have to let the previous owner know not to buy batteries from the source they got them form any more.

My best finds have come from Lenovo packs. You know they cant be too old, since Lenovo only bought IBM out a few years back, and thus far I have found only Sanyo 2600’s and Sony 2200’s.
My Lenovo T60 is almost 6 years old and the Power Manager shows:

The low cycle count and maintaining a 40% storage charge account for the good shelf life. Still, only a 2% decrease in capacity after 5 years! From what I’ve read, a loss of 4% each year with 40% charge at room temperature should be expected. That’s a 20% loss in 5 years compared to the SANYO’s 2%.
i picked up an aftermarket dell pack at the thrift store for $0.69cents.
nine green cells with f12 1108 printed on the heatshrink …Color is a solid green and at first glance i thought …samsung25R. under the heatshrink there is a barcode tag about an inch and a half long and 1/2 inch wide barcode and says 18F12BBL1602M……18F012BBL2401M……18F12BB2401N 18F12BBL1401N
Pretty sure if they were samsungs they’d say so …2.74v/charging 4 of them so we’ll see .
i still have a bunch of those.iirc they are cham or geil.
stripped a bunch of new packs for obsolete laptops.
2200 and they do the rated capacity even after 60 cycles.decent cells for common lights.
yours were too low for safety so recycling them is best.
I said samsung but it was only a reaction to the green … 1/4 second later i realized the color wasn’t close to either 25R color … here is the color …
Snakebite… The cham or cmp cells look much closer to the color of the samsungs than these do …Also the tag with the barcode is under the heatshrink … kind of scary when you think of them in inventory with probably many heatshrink options available
Color aside - I doubt you’ll ever find Samsung 25R in a laptop battery pack. Rather in some powertool pack.
