Anybody seen this

Looks interesting

Well, you see what it looks like. It exposes the battery. You can see in this case it’s a 1.5V Energizer. Nothing wrong with that, but it kinda irritates my eyesight. I think it is esthetically counter productive. Without a battery it looks “interesting”. With battery it looks horrible. But when you load it with a smooth colored battery, it would not be that tragic. As for the usefulness: it would be a fine pocket lint remover (kidding). And the output is measly.
I love lights with a minimalistic exterior, this is the opposite.

The design seems to provide too many points for other things to catch onto. I would not want one at all.

I guess a good point is that if you were using an alkaleaker cell you would know sooner that you have a problem.

It’s very ugly like an empty insect pupa, but really interesting.

Looks highly inspired by a Tofty light

More show than go.
Some people insist on letting their dangly bits hang out.

As an artistic expression, great. Have at it, if thats your thing… As a useable light, nope, not gonna fly, looks very uncomfortable, fragile, and a bitch to clean.

Personally I think its a little bit ugly, but that applies to almost anything and everything done in veroni pattern–its a huge fad right now in 3D printing communities, printed models, etc, it’s being done to death. I just don’t get it.

I will say though, if they sealed this thing Inside a clear tube, so its clean and comfortable to use, but still visually appealing, I might be interested. Although even then the visible battery might be a bit much… put the battery in an inner non transparent tube, maybe with a color contrast? That could work.

As a display-piece, it’s interesting. Like something that The Wraith designed way over in The Pegasus Galaxy. But of course, I doubt anyone would EDC the beastie.

Kinda like those wild-shaped Klingon/“fantasy” knives with all the pointy bits sticking out. No sane person would carry anything as impractical as that. It’s meant to sit on a mantle or in a display case, looking nice, or at least “interesting”.

Anyone wants one, hey, have at it. Just not me.

You dont spend much time on knife enthusiasts forums do you? Lol :stuck_out_tongue:

You’d be surprised how much stuff like that is carried and used daily.
