I couldn’t remember the charge time exactly. My phone has 4300 mAh. (Could be slightly degraded) Will do a new test later.
This is due to the components at the upper part heat up pretty quick and then the heat transfer to the lower part and so the battery. I do have PB2SL and also get quite hot at the upper part
The link indicates 5v 1.5a which isn’t fast.
In my experience, my phone (including past phones) will not take the full 3amps when at 5v. QC2(9v) or QC3(12v) needs to trip/kick in for it to charge any faster than… ssllooww
I like the idea of replaceable battery. I’ve had proprietary power banks before and didn’t like how they sat for weeks (sometimes months) with no use. With the H1 I can just grab a cell from my charged stash and off i go.
Also I’m not expecting to get a full phone charge from one cell. I just want a quick top up to last until i get home. Quick charge means i don’t need to have it plugged in for long.

A long overdue test for H1 due to getting some new batteries. Here is my first test with YCYG 21700 cell (a better version of Vapcell G50)
The test config.
- Rog Phone 8 (5500 mAh) at 6%
- Room temp is 28.5 C
Start charging. The output is about 18w stable.
At 10 minutes, the phone’s battery is at 15% and temp is at 40 C
At 15 minutes
- Phone’s battery: 23%
- H1 temp: 46.5 C
At 18 minutes, the H1’s indicator light turned red.
At 20 minutes
- Phone’s battery: 29%
- H1 temp: 50.5 C
At 22 minutes, the indicator turned flashing red.
At 25 minutes
- Phone’s battery: 35%
- H1 temp: 55.5 C
At 30 minutes
- Phone’s battery: 41%
- H1 temp: 57 C
Finally, after 33 minutes, the H1 stopped the output. (It goes into infinite loop of charging or not charge) Phone’s battery at 44%
I measured the battery voltage and result is 3.58V
I think better current cell might perform better. I have Samsung 50S and P45B that I might test next.
5 Thanks
Nice test. Thanks for showing us. The way i read it is about a half hour of reasonable charge time (depending on the cell of course)

For such a gadget, why not give it an LED on one side. Even a dim light is better than no light. The form factor without a light output is just so weird IMO.
