Anyone use Fasttech to order stuff?

Order placed last night, already went through packing and is now shipped. Tracking in hand  oh it was a battery purchase :shhh:

This.

And, this.

Multiple FT orders to the tune of several hundred dollars. Everything arrived fine. My issue with FT is the service after the fact when there have been warranty issues where the manufacturer required the light had to go back the dealer/seller.

Plus, I caught them lying to me since, because I’m a member here, I knew that certain solutions where provided to some people but not others. When I called them on it, I got the same solution, but was asked to not tell other people about it.

It is clearly the motus operandi of all these venders to start out great to build a base, then start tapering the CS. We’ve seen it time and time again. The first time the dog bites you it is the dogs fault. The next time the dog bites you, you are to blame. FT is no different than any of the others.

Buying from any Chinese vender is always a gamble. Some are marginally better than others, but the odds are never in your favor. None are going to bend over backwards to make things right in the same way a typical EU or US based vender would. Play at your own peril.

I have no intentions of buying from them again.

Satisfied customer here. Some problems but nothing too bad, and resolved reasonably fast.
I always check them first when I’m buying stuff and usually end up ordering from them, cheapest prices for most items.
The shipping problems can happen to any retailer, the volume of sales makes it almost inevitable that mistakes will occur.

Is everyone in the US that is having slow shipping with FT using USPS HK, default USPS, or one of the other options?

They recently switched the default USPS from HK to SG, and SG seems extremely slow and inefficient in comparison to the HK option.

I was very satisfied customer for my first 2 orders. Orders were processed and shipped within 2 days with prove. Took them 14 days to arrive.

However, 3rd order was a different case. “in-stock” items were shipped after 9-10 days. Took FT CS 4 working days to respond to my ticket.

Placed my 4th order from them yesterday. The only reason I chosen them again was because for their products are generally cheaper.

Other than a couple minor issues, satisfied customer here. FT is one of the better Chinese sellers. They’ve gone downhill a little like most of these sellers do when they become successful, but they still do fine. They have one of the best selection of knives and I often order them one or two at a time to sneak my order under the wife’s radar. $100 flashlight? Ask the wife. $17 pocket knife? I just order it and she never says anything.

Probably 50 orders with nothing but a couple minor glitches. We fortuitously stocked up on 18650s right before the sh*t hit the fan. I look forward to many more SanRenMu, Elan and Ganzo knives from FT!

...AND! FastTech is first out of the gate with my parcel updated as "Shipped" with HK tracking today. Shipped within 24 hours or order, not bad!

Still no activity on my DX orders...

There are always Lion and lithium battery crack downs this time of the year. Take your chances or order domestically or wait a few months for it to iron out.

When I ordered from hobbyking last (Also a respected dealer) they said the same thing and that shipments wold have to go via Swiss/Singapore post and still risk a chance of being seized. It took about a month but I got it just fine (A bit roughed up, but fine overall).

Still no activity on my FT order, placed on Jan 1st.

Mine was packed and shipped within 12 hours. might want to contact them Comfy, might have got lost in the mix or never updated

My order just shipped yesterday. packed and shipped in about two days. Sounds good so far. Thanks for all the input. I might try a few more orders.

I use them to buy knives but since most postal services they use won’t ship knives anymore then all of my orders go to Switzerland (or was it Sweden) before getting sent to Aus, most of my orders are taking around 1 and a half to 2 months.

But with the Xmas postage rush just finished it wont be getting any faster just yet with up to 2 weeks hoilday off for most Chinese companies and postal employees, creating another backlog of parcels and its usually a case of “first in the pile - last out of the pile”

I have still been buying knives despite that as I have patience and they always come through but I would probably recommend to others not to buy anything from China until February because 90% of of average buyers will get their panties in a bunch over it and start PayPal claims and nerd rage in forums over it.

Chinese New Year is Jan 31st. So I would probably steer clear of ordering anything between January 26th - February 10th. It’s really the only time most Asians get vacation time, so trust me when I say, they really take advantage of it. I currently live in Taiwan as an ex-pat and no one does anything during that time because it’s really the only vacation they get all year round.

Because of the recent criticism of FT I’ve been keeping an eye out on their performance. One of my orders, ordered on Dec 1, was shipped out 2 days later.
I was a little concerned when after 3 weeks, I hadn’t received it yet. I contacted FT and voiced my concerns. They asked for my patience, and I said I’d wait a little longer, as it was the Christmas period - with its usual delays….
The package arrived yesterday (Jan 8th) and everything is in good order

My latest order, dated Dec 15, consists of a 26650 flashlight and two battery/adapter tubes.
The battery tubes ($1.30 each) were shipped out first, on Dec 21 by registered post, with tracking number.
FT said they’d ship out the available items first. Received items on Jan 6
The flashlight, according to FT, was shipped out 4 days later, on Dec 25. I expect it should arrive within the next few days.
Well, I know that some of you have had some lousy experiences with FT, but so far I’ve had none.
I’m still keeping an eye out, though…

For some odd reason you get about 75% perfectly no problem shippings and 25% of variable problems,

As for product quality/performance, thats another story, but buying at another chinese store won’t be any better, thats the nature of the beast

Fasttech has been my main go to Chinese vendor. They always ship within 24 hours and the package usually arrives in 10 days or less.

WALLBUYS Has Been So so. You have to contact cherry for the order number, just to get a tracking number when I ordered 5 supfire m6. The shipments usually take 14 days from them.

Banggood. Still waiting 2 months later on a Roche f6 with no tracking or replies. Had to open a PayPal dispute.

Dealextremes prices always seem to be way too high.

So after some googling, I found an old thread on FT’s website on their support page. The tracking from Singapore Post’s website is pretty terrible because it doesn’t show accurate information and rarely updates. They suggested using this page to track your packages instead - http://www.quantiumsolutions.com/

MUCH BETTER!

I’m not complaining because this is not really their fault. I always get my items faster with HK Post from them and other sellers. My latest order from them posted using Sweden Post (knives related). Ordered on 28/12/12 and they dispatched within 48 hours. Still in transit.

Meanwhile I ordered something from eBay seller on 08/01/13 using HK Post.

Oh, and that including 3 days of weekend and public holidays.

thanks for sharing this information,i was wanting to order a convoy C8 flashlight and some 18650 batteries.
i’ve used fasttec before but it’s been a year or two.

I have a total of nine orders placed, of which one is en route and one order (from yesterday) waiting to be filled. I’d say the average time is two days to ship, and a month getting to me in Canada. So far everything has arrived and quality has been ‘as described’.
There was one burp in the Great Battery Boondoggle of 2013, but that was resolved in good time.
