Winter, how nice. 38°C here. ![]()
Thanks for the nice review!
Great review as always. Two things surprised me about this light - really strong performance from the white beam (850+ sustained lumens) and the beam is pretty green (almost 0.009 in every mode). The CRI is relatively high for low-CRI at almost 80.
Any guess as to what emitter they’re using? My XHP50 Wizard Pros with similar performance aren’t close to that green and are almost always in the 71 CRI range, not 79+.
Thank you.
There’s the cool white version and this warm white version.
Armytek replied back about the cool white version with:
“Elf C2 Max WR is equipped with a white Cree XHP50.3 HD emitter paired with a red Cree XQ-E HI emitter. The red light operates at a 620 nm wavelength, providing comfortable night vision while remaining highly practical for outdoor use.”
Thanks. I guess I wasn’t the only one with the same question. Bummer that it wasn’t a more neutral bin of the XHP50.3.
