Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max Long-range Headlamp Review

Armytek reached out after seeing my review of the Wizard C2 Pro WR to see if I would like to collaborate.

They kindly sent a Wizard C2 Pro Max LR Warm for review.

LVP for Turbo1 didn’t work with my bench power supply. I’m not sure if it’s my power supply or the headlamp. EDIT: Low Voltage Protection works ok. The light turns off at 2.67V. I made a mistake by confusing Turbo1 (1.9A) for Turbo2 (7.6A). My bench power supply can’t handle more than 5A so I haven’t tested LVP for Turbo2.

FYI: There is a Samsung 50G (white) under the Armytek wrap.

Here is my review:

Nice review and photos

I agree they should not claim long range.
Using a large xhp70 led will not achieve long range, and the extra reach of 180 meters is only on turbo which steps down. They should have used a Cree xhp50.3 hi to get a noticeable increase in throw.

Thank you!

Yeah, that definitely would help.

A soon as I see an 70.2 HD in a reflector, I suspect Cree Rainbows … but sometime the hotspot is so wide, its not as distracting…

I think they should have used a XHP 70.3 HI here, at least.

I use the TIR version of this light (Wizard C2 Pro Max) and like it quite a bit. I do wish Main3, the last step before turbo step downs, was a little brighter, maybe 600 lumens or so.

I can not tell though, what the difference will be in the shape of the beam. The TIR version has serious flood, even more than the 50.2 / 144A Wizards.
