Astrolux MF01 Mini - Turbo Question (Anduril)

Hello,

Does anyone know if it’s possible to configure the MF01 Mini to memorise the turbo setting, so the light comes on in this mode with a single click?

I cannot find the answer to this question.

The flashlight manual is here: http://myosuploads3.banggood.com/products/20190906/20190906005915AstroluxMF01MiniManual.jpg

There is a section in the above manual titled ‘Ramp Config Mode’, where you can set the lowest and highest light levels used during ramping (which is memorised) but it talks about brightness levels between 0 and 150. Nothing about turbo being 150.

Thanks.

Let's assume the light is in "Smooth Ramping" mode.

1) Turn on the flashlight.
2) Do 4 clicks.
- flashlight will blink once and then "buzz". Don't press the button here (this setting adjusts the "ramp floor")
- flashlight will blink twice and then "buzz". Press the button exactly once. (this sets the "ramp ceiling" to the max brightness)
Wait for the flashlight to get back to the normal mode.

Now what we've done above is to set the ramp ceiling to max (Turbo), without changing the "ramp floor" setting.

You want to have single-click from Off to be the "Turbo" (max) setting.

By default, automatic mode memory is enabled. We need to switch to "Manual" mode memory

*Automatic mode memory means, while ramping, then turn Off the flashlight, the next turn On will be in this mode.
Manual mode memory means< the user sets a specific brightness level the flashlight will be in , when turn On the flashlight.

So do this:
3) Turn on the flashlight, ramp to the max brightness (don't use double-click to Turbo -- instead hold the button until it reaches max brightness)
4) With the flashlight on Max brightness, do 5 quick clicks -- this means set the current brightness to be the brightness that the flashlight will be when first turned On.
(in this case, turn on at Max brightness).

Turn off the flashlight, test if the flashlight is now in max brightness level when turned On.

*to re-enable automatic mode memory. Turn on the flashlight (any brightness), then do a 5H (5 clicks, but the 5th click should be held down for a short while and the main light should do a very quick blink. This indicates Manual Mode Memory has been cancelled, and instead uses Automatic Mode Memory)

So the ‘150’ level is turbo then.

Thanks for the write up and explanation d_t_a.

Very helpful.

this applies for EA01S also ?

Yes, the EA01S also uses Anduril 1, and the procedure for changing the ramp floor/ceiling, or enabling/disabling automatic mode memory is the same.
