hmmm, i thought the 13A chip would be an easy purchase, but, the fun begins, there’s a few different ones. Does it make a diference which one?
I see there’s one type with ‘capacitive’ touch listed, and one type without it listed.
next comes the USBASP usb device unrecognised, 6 hours on google later ‘they work on some pc’s and not others’…ouch. seems it’s all go dunnit.
Used zadig, it sais the drivers are installed, but usb device unrecognised still ‘error 43’, does the USBASP have to be conected to a chip, and/conected to Atmel studio or something?
I’ve updated the usb driver’s on my pc… dunno what else to do bar buy a different programmer and go down that lowly route.
All 13A’s are compatible but the physical size and package (pin layout) is different. There’s different sizes of SMD ones as well as a flat no lead package as well as a TH package. The one we use is the 13A-MU.
As far as getting the usbasp working zidag is the answer but you don’t want the newest driver, the correct driver to use is listed in the flashlight wiki. You’ll need to locate it then use zidag to remove the [newer] current driver and replace it with the correct [older] one.
and looking on the pololu sight too, have a few of their projects … turns up in 3d printer stuff too, a lot of Atiney about isnt there.
i got a clone from the uk, turns out i need to buy another to program the programmer, hmm maybe i should have bought two, as i may need another to program the programmer thats programming the first programmer? i have a lot of these now lolol…t-rats!
