I asked the same question once but realised why months later why they should be tested. People need to know that dont know, a bit like the G700 flashlight and how it is being exposed here.
Ah! Okay! I know you have said that you sometimes receive stuff from people to review/test. So, I thought someone might have sent you these. I couldn’t understand why anybody would do so, however. I do understand the value of testing them. They are near ubiquitous and somebody needs to tell people how bad they are! Thanks for what you do!
I have not counted, but it must be more than 60% of the batteries I test that is donated by a dealer or manufacturer.
But with the amount of batteries I test, I do buy a a lot of batteries. Most of the LG/Sanyo/Sony/Panasonic/Samsung batteries I test is some I have bought and now I have looked on Ebay for bad batteries and bough some of them.
The above was just two of the more silly ones.
I hope people looking for reviews on these brand may stumble upon my reviews and get the idea that the batteries are a bad deal.
hope anyone who buys this junk off ebay to test it leaves a negative and dings their stars.
if half of us on blf did that we could sink those junk sellers overnight.
Yeah, it would take quite a horde, because if a handful of people tried to cover too much ground (buying from many sellers and leaving negative feedback for each), they’d be the ones to get kicked out and banned.
The Tronic “2400”mAh AA cells are already in my batteries Hall of Shame:
But there is some good news, last week Lidl sold 2300mAh Tronic Ready To Use batteries, and these are very close to 2300mAh (tested with the Maha charger).
And the 1000mAh AAA Ready To Use batteries are also very close to 1000mAh.
These Tronic cells are only 2,99 euro/4 pack, and that is very cheap for low selfdischarge batteries with a real capacity of almost 2300mAh (AA) and 1000mAh (AAA).
Just be carefull not to buy the 2400mAh version, because these are terrible (about half the capacity).
It is easy for a novice to think these batteries are OK. After all, they charge up, they work until they run down, and then they can be charged up again!
“Hey, these are great”
You have to excuse me m8 but person with the rep like you should never waste his time with 12000mah 18650 batteries or something of that ilk…at least not in the next 3-4 years…just post a pic of it in your site with a DONT BUY tag .
