Balder sent me a head so I could pull out the driver to do a driver swap with my previous review sample HD-1 New BALDER HD-1 [ AA - 14500 - 2 mode EDC ]
But I thought , hang on a second ! If I remove the retaining ring / joining ring [ holds the driver in place + allows the two halves to screw together ] , I could swap between heads !
Yay !

Just charging some batteries ATM …

They wanted me to review the driver : Not to worry , this afternoon should see something …

So far I like the XM-L 3 mode version very much , havent put a MM to it yet .

But I think the XM-L performs as a small single AA should [ works for me ]
