No, they are not really that many lumens. We have fun here poking at the Chinese for their bloated ratings. We have a rule of thumb: Divide the Chinese Lumens by 3 to get actual lumens: so 1300 is about 400+ and 1800 is about 600. Those two lights have different emitters (leds) . The T6 is the first generation XM-L led from Cree, the XM-L2 is a second generation led from Cree. Theoretically the XM-L2 should be brighter, but it really depends on the driver current to the led. Few cheap lights have 3 amps to the LED, unless they do not have a current limiting chip s). However, some cheap lights, are Direct Drive, meaning the battery is directly fed into the led. That is okay, because most cheap batteries to not deliever enough current to “kill” the LED. You should stay in the Forum, and read everyday until you understand the workings of flashlights.
Welcome to the forum penumbra. Dont waste your money on those poorly made C8’s. You can get a superior quality “Convoy” XM-L C8 configured in the options of your choice at fasttech. Many of us have them and nothing beats them for the price.
Check out Relic’s review here.
+1 Get an 8 amc chipped Convoy, no use wasting your money on cheapies.
I can vouch for the legitimacy of the FastTech Convoy C8. Received mine a week or two ago. Brilliantly solid light for about $16.
thanks for this advice to all here, I am already amazed at what you teach me here.
I’m going to ask for the near future and try posting pictures.
I’ve always had something from childhood with flashlights.
You’re welcome and we’re glad to have you here. Let us know how you like your new convoy once you receive it.
Good advice from Flash Pilot, and Flomotion. I bought 3 of the Banggood C-8’s for give-aways, and none of them worked out of the box. They all had several issues, some as large as incorrect battery tube diameter, not allowing the tube to be screwed far enough into the head. I own several C-8’s and the Convoy is by far the best quality of the budget options.
i must find out for convoy c8 ;M1 ore M2 ![]()
reflektors,collors ,2100 2800 Amp i wanne use with one Panasonic 3400 protection

greets & thank to all here.

Another Newbie here.
I wanted to buy Convoy C8 initially too, till I found out there is a Ultrafire C8 CREE-XM-L2 option.
Any comparison for this 2?
Any cheap XM-L2 / U2 to recommend?
convoy C8 from BG has the option for XM-L2 (U2 1A or T6 4C)
Thanks. Anyone has any issue with Banggood? Reputable online store compare to others?

I would go with this. Convoy C8 XML2 U2 1A for 14.91 (after BLF coupon) is great. I’m not sure about the AK47 7135.
… this is actually kind of a bit cringe worthy considering I just payed around 15.50 for an xml t6-3C a few weeks ago. ![]()
Banggood’s Convoy C8 is cheaper than Fasttech’s and has XM-L2 option! Don’t forget about 8% off coupon “BLF” at Banggood.
Seem like a good deal. Speaking to BG staff now. Intend to get both XM-L2 U2 and L2-T6 to compare.

Extremely reliable and very friendly.
I really like them.
26/11 i think the flaslight arrived
For several days I have my flashlight.
there’m happy with it.
it has a nice light and very much better quality than the cheap million lumen flashlights.
a panasonic with security is going to be like but is very tight but it works.
Can multiple coupons be combined?
