Battery confusion

I’ve posted here previously about a recharger and batteries for a bike light. I took the advice in that thread and ordered some 18650 batteries, case and charger off DX.com. The only problem is: the batteries were stopped at customs and now I’m at a loss as to where to get good 18650 batteries which will ship to Australia.

Any suggestions/recommendations? There seem to be an awful lot of fakes on ebay and no real way to tell if it’s actually a name-brand battery. I’m assuming here that panasonic, sony, etc are the better brands to go for, and stay away from the terribly cheap ones on ebay. Don’t want to spend a fortune, but don’t want to have a battery blow up on me either :frowning:

Some members here report this seller as being very reliable. Just make sure that the length of the batteries fit whatever you are putting them into. Not to long.

Seems a bit expensive, there’s no cheaper alternatives?

Also another question: dx.com seem to have ceased stocking this item:
