Battery Powered Beacon Strobes

Let’s see your Non-LED battery strobes. I like these Tane Flash ones a lot, especially the earlier Amber models from before they started switching to red and using a different flash tube. (pulses faster and glows a little more than the newer ones before they discontinued these.)

Plus video I made of my Amber one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYS25UnOxDw

LumaStrobe seems to have copied the design after Tane stopped and makes them now https://youtu.be/VoMUaAwcFnc You can still see the vestigial partial lanyard holes minus the top part to actually string one through it. They’re a lot pricier too but have additional colors and double flash for each pulse but lack the ability to run on just 1D cell in a pinch since they’re wired in a series whereas the tane was parallel and still got a decent runtime on just 1 when needed.

I’ve put them on the front and rear luggage rack of my touring bicycle for night riding and also will sometimes just carry one by the cord when out for a late night walk epecially if it’s foggy out.

These look like buoy blinkers. Handy!

Bit late, but this is what I have sitting on a shelf.

It is magnet operated waterproof and has a strobe on one side and a flashlight on the other side
