What’s the scale of the problem?
See my last answer.
WE DON’T KNOW
They may not know. We don’t even know who “they” is.
I’ve been following this issue with interest as I’ve a Convoy T4 arriving, 6A driver, with a pair of these H10’s to run in series.
Wish me luck.
This is particularly scary…
And particularly interesting. Especially from afar.
I charged mine to 4.17v yesterday before I needed to be away from the charger and didn’t want to leave it unattended. About 16 hours later this morning it read 4.16v in my Nitecore D2 charger and topped off in 5 minutes. I can let you guys know what it reads tomorrow if there’s interest.
I bought a few Vapcel H10’s from illumn.com in 2025 and none has had any problem. This seems to be a small shop (Northern Cal) so one possible reason is he has older stocks. Owner responds to email, albeit slow, so if I were to buy more, I surely would ask him to test them first.
I get H10 with Convoy T6 before 8 months and it is good without self discharge and capacity is just like declared.
We are very sorry to inform our customers that the H10 battery has been discontinued. We have collaborated with a battery company to produce this battery series, which has low sales and high technical difficulty. Therefore, considering all factors, we will not produce this battery again. However, the final batch of batteries should have a small amount of B-grade mixed in from the battery factory. Our warehouse has strengthened quality inspection and there is still a small amount of H10 inventory left. After processing these goods, production will be suspended. The highlight of this battery is its strong power, but the quality stability still needs to be improved
There will be a new 14500 battery vapcell K10 1000mAh 8A to replace the H10 in the future. The power is slightly weaker, but the price is cheaper and the quality is more stable, which can be used for various purposes. Vapcell company will continuously upgrade its products and improve its processes, committed to providing customers with better products
Customers who have purchased batteries in the past 3 months, please kindly check your H10 battery. If there is a decrease in heating voltage, please stop using this battery and apply for a replacement battery or other ways
First thanks for admitting there’s a problem here and also doing something about it. While the 1 H10 I have doesn’t seem defective it does make me wonder about it as well as the P1409A I have. Have there been any problems with those?
Would you please also consider the height of the button on the K10? Another problem with the H10 is that it’s too tall and won’t fit in some lights.
Yes please! The H10 has an unusually large button top for no reason. It would be really great if the new K10 could be a more standard length.
I came to this thread just to ask for a shorter button on the new K10 please. Also shorter buttons for the F12, F15 please.
Figures. I just bought a bunch of them. I was planning on going back to sleep after cleaning up cat
, and decided a bedtime story from my favorite forum would lull me to sleep. Now I have a headlamp on digging the batteries out and trying to locate the receipt to find out how many I got
Adding to what’s been already said, the button top H10 is about 51.5mm, with a 1.8mm protruding button (measured from the white insulation). I have some alkaline AAs around with a 1mm button top, so there’s no reason to make it bigger than that. This would bring the cell down to a more reasonable 50.7mm and would solve most length problems in some flashlights with a shortish tube. So please consider using a shorter button for the button top K10.
Edit : might as well go look for the specs :
So 1mm would be within specs, actually the minimum.
A H10 with a 1mm button (from white insulation) would be just 0.2mm above max cell lenght.
I don’t know how thick is the white insulation but it does look somewhat thick, maybe something like 0.2mm, so a H10 without this insulation and a 1mm button would be 50.5mm and thus within AA lenght specs.
The single H10 cell I have is too big to fit in the AA sized plastic storage box I have. This box fits alkalines, NiMh, and the 14500 from Wurkkos that came with a TS10-SG as well as a different Vapcell without a problem.
Ha, I did the same thing. I thought I had 6, but I searched my email and found out that I had ordered 7 since 2023. I found the missing one in a Emisar D2 that was physically locked out (tail unscrewed) so the Aux lights were out and I thought it was empty. Makes sense it was in there though as that light was designed for a high amp flat top. So far none of mine have had a voltage retention problem.
Is it a good idea to try buying a few H10 from old batch stock before they are discontinued?
Why? There’s only one way to find out. Things can be done in a safe manner
