I'm pretty familiar with photography websites, but not video editing.
Are you interested in the equipment, capture portion, or the editing/production?
There are lots of YouTube videos about all three.
The software usually has a few channels dedicated to each one.
This place list forums about specific areas.
https://forums.creativecow.net/
dpreview has a video section, mostly equipment oriented.
This place seems to have a forum, but is aimed toward you signing up for their stuff.
Another aimed at youtubers
photo.net has a video area, one again equipment oriented.
Video - Photo.net
But you are right, there sure seem to be a lot more photograph sites.
Maybe because video is such a moving target “so to speak”
All the Best,
Jeff
Thanks Jeff,
I will look into those. I also founds a few sub reddits that are very active and helpful.
It's actually for both. But (I think) I already decided what video editing software I'm gonna use first... Davinci Resolve. Many people are speaking highly of it.
I had already installed Openshot, but since many people are recommending and talking about Davinci Resolve, I will go with that one first.
Now still looking for gear and then learn how to use the software..
There is ongoing promotion on humblebundle: Professional Video and Audio Creation.
Maybe you’ll find something useful there.
I gave it a try, (the free one) liked the price…
Really steep learning curve, but many very professional tubers use it with great results.
I just wanted something dead simple (like me).
Let us know how you make out.
All the Best,
Jeff
I actually own 2 versions of Powerdirector, but it didn't work as well as I wanted. That might be because I was using a laptop with an i5 processor and 16gig. Now upgraded to a Desktop PC with a 2700x Ryzen 8 core, which should be a difference like night and day in terms of speed.
I'd be happy if I got at least the basics down. Thanks for helping out Jeff!

Thanks for the tip! I couldn't find it to be honest. And I'm a little reluctant to buying courses on these types of platforms. There is probably a lot of 'talk' and not about the software and gear I am using.
I will probably get the Davinci resolve and check some youtube videos
Best forums I know are https://www.videohelp.com (Make sure to click “forums” at the top)
The name has changed over time, used to be vcdhelp.com, dvdhelp, com, etc. Had to do with video editing and also extracting/editing the contents of dvds, later blu-rays, but they’ve got everything there
