I have a stack of glow in the dark lure i use for fishing at night or in deep water etc … so i was just wondering what’s the best type of light to charge them up the fasest and so that they glow the most?
I had a mate who used to have a small led light that he claimed was a ‘UV’ light that used to work really well, but he cant remember anything else about it.
I can’t say it was the best, but I was using my T50 last weekend ice fishing to charge up GIT lures. It seemed to work (ie I caught fish with it). UV light would have been better, but alas I don’t have one.
Seems like generic UV is the go … i just found a 5 pack of “UV Ultra Violet Blacklight 9 LED Flashlight Torch Light Outdoors” for just under $10 on fleabay so i reckon i’ll give them a go … at least it wont cost me much when i drop one overboard haha
I live in a Nanny state … see below from local authorities website
“New legislation also restricts who can possess and/or use laser pointers with a power level of greater than one milliwatt. From 18 July 2008 you will require a permit to possess or use such a laser pointer, unless an exemption applies to you. To apply for a permit, you will need to contact the Firearms Registry”
From what i can see most laser on dx are 5 milliwatt, and just saw this on a DX description
