Best method to secure a driver contact board to aluminum pill?

I’ve got a loose fitting driver that sits on top of the ledge of an aluminum pill. If the pill is tilted emitter up the driver falls right out… How do I properly secure it to ensure solid contact?

My guess would be a little fujik, but unfortunately I ordered that from DX… so it wont be here for another 2-3 weeks.

I’ve used a bit of thin stranded copper wire soldered in a couple of places around the edge of the driver, to make it a snug push fit.

I have been using these. The large outside diameter is just over 18mm. I solder the driver to the adaptor and machine the pill so that the whole lot is a slight press fit.

Those brass rings are great to have around. I have a bunch of every size FT sells. They sure can make a neat and tidy solution to a head scratcher.

I have such a huge pile of P60 parts, if it's a 17mm driver I just cut off the rear part of a P60 pill and press it into the AL pill. Ends up cheaper than the purpose-made adapter rings.

+1 that is how I do it.
