Best Thrower under $7

With a bit of time, a file, some solder, and some pliers it’s in better shape now (The clip was stuck tight, but not permanent). All that needs to be fixed now is the loose pill. A decent little light after some minor work.

Sorry about your bad luck lately with lights but appreciate your honest opinion.

I agree 100%. It helps prevent people for making regretful purchases. I wasn't trying to disagree with Unknown and I appreciate his input too. Actually, our 2 "mini-reviews" seem to be consistent on the non-subjective facts. I didn't bother opening mine up because he already addressed that. I took and reported some measurements to fill in the gaps. The only thing that differs is overall personal appreciation of the light. I think Unknown has higher standards. I tend to fall in love with more lights then most. Maybe I lucked out and got one that was better made.

Having taken it outside on the standard range for my beamshots, its throw and hotspot are nearly perfect for my tastes. Definitely makes up for most of its flaws.

As far as the beamshots go, they look like crap. I have to readjust my camera to whatever I was using before, because whatever was changed makes my BTU look like it’s throwing less than 40% of real life, and the a60 / $7 thrower almost don’t show up. :expressionless:

Looking back on some comments I think I mostly go one of two ways when I get a new flashlight.

I either tend to focus mostly on flaws on initial impressions, and I grow to like the flashlight.
or
I fall in love with the flashlight on initial impressions and slowly discover flaws but still appreciate the light.

I haven’t come across a flashlight I really dislike unless you count something I bought and it turns out to be used as a host, but there’s value in that as well.

… rambling… $7. Buy one.
Edit: They’re sold out. :weary:
